In a couple of hours I’ll be playing one of my own songs “I FEEL ALIVE” for a newly wed’s first dance. Surreal feeling that a couple would chose me to play this at such a special moment on one of the biggest days of their lives. They’re fans that have become friends and have told me that this is their love song. Life keeps chucking these moments at me and extremely grateful.

Met this absolute legend today (Stefano). Honestly, it’s people like this that keep the dream alive. I wasn’t feeling a million dollars this morning but dragged myself out to busk anyway, a few songs in he runs over, chucks me a tenner and says “mate I could feel your voice in my heart walking up The Moor, you’re like David Gray but better, how the fuck do you not have a record deal”. The words mean more than any amount of money, it’s no secret that a large part of the music industry for grassroots working class musicians like myself is on its arse. So when you’re out there busking your own songs to passes by it’s this sort of thing that fills you back up with belief and changes your whole day for the better. Cheers Stefano 🤝🧡
