@Steven_Swinford Let us take a look more closely at the statements you made in the by election to see how supportive you were of Starmer as PM shall we.
@Steven_Swinford Which version of the Kabour party does he mean? Harold Wilson’s or the party led by Kinnock that never achieved power? So hard to know?
@Peston Time for policies not sound bites. Burnham says (as if to convince himself) I have a plan which surely is to be simply a given for a man who is PM on Monday??
@SophyRidgeSky Burnham says he was inspired by Kinnock’s rhetoric (my dad used to say of him “empty vessels make the most noise”). Listening to Burnham today I fear the same will be true of him. Loves the sound of his own voice. His singingclapping to his own music choice at the end was weird.
@paulmasonnews@andyburnham His speech included - I have a plan - I have a plan - the working day before he becomes PM. Not filling e with confidence that he thinks we should be impressed….
@michaelgove Look at the lowering of the raw pass marks this year Michael and think how national standards rose under Blair /Brown but fell internationally?
@TrevorABishop@educationgovuk This year the raw pass marks were lowered under the argument that a cohorts outcomes will remain stable from one year to the next. But you are right - the pass marks were lowered.
@PippaCrerar I agree - this is vacuous nonsense. I seem to remember an identical video from Boris on whether to add milk first. So l this is not even original.
@JamesMelville Argentina had smelt blood and knew the momentum had shifted. Tuchel watched his team for the next four mins be completely controlled by Argentina and decided to make a change of an e tra defender - this triggered Argentina to go all in on attack and the game was won
@JamesMelville England scored a goal and Argentina looked at each other and found a new gear. They brought on Gonzales and adjusted their attacking shape. Between the goal and the hrdration break Argentina took control and as the water break arrived Argentina narrowly missed out on scoring./1
@DPJHodges@MatthewStadlen This was my take last night - Tuchel didn’t make the changes straight after the goal - he subbed on first at 72 mins that’s 15 mins after the goal. It is just that Argentina went up a great Fter conceding and we didn’t have a gear to go up to match them.
@MatthewStadlen I am not so sure. After we scored Argentina cranked into a higher gear and it was too much for us - even before the hydration break they had suddenly taken control of the momentum and looked good to score. The subs came at and after the hydration break.
