@Kaju_Nut I cannot imagine how frustrating this must be. This reminds me of the DST travel support that PhD students can avail for international travel. Very harsh deadlines when submitting and similar situation when actually declaring results.
@Kaju_Nut I was recently told even amongst DAE institutes there is hierarchy. The ease with which TIFR can organise international conferences is completely different from even the other DAE institutes. The bureaucracy in all aspects (finances, permissions etc) is unbelievable.
@Duchiver@Lufthansa_USA@lufthansa I have come to know that my luggage has reached the destination airport.I was emailed 5 days ago by the @Lufthansa_USA asking whether I can pick it up since delivery will take longer, and I agreed to that.After that radio silence- no info on where and when to pick it up.Dismal!
@lufthansa Here is another helpful tip for packing your bags: Don't fly @Lufthansa_USA . Baggage lost for a week, then located at destination airport and now they are not telling me when I can go pick up my bags (Delivery will take longer by their own admission)!
@MamtaCarrollST@lufthansa@Lufthansa_DE My baggage report shows the EXACT status. I managed to get through to them ONCE on the phone and I was assured that my baggage is at my destination airport and I will be contacted for delivery. 2 days has passed since. Lies and nothing else!

I was assured that the baggage is at my destination and I will be contacted soon regarding delivery! Needless to say 2 days have passed since. Should I be worried now about even the initial claim?!
@Lufthansa_USA@Lufthansa_USA Five days since my luggage is missing. Neither I am able to get through to your customer care service nor have you guys reached out to me. What you are doing is criminal and you should be sued for it.
@draper_clair@aderwy Ah i see. I was assuming an email id for @Lufthansa_USA. I asked O'Hare airport for guidance - they literally told me to come and ask Lufthansa officials face to face. The situation seems to be pretty common.

I am on the same boat with the delayed report showing the same status (Bag has been located blah blah). Apart from the non-functioning phone number they give in the report, where else can I inquire?
@draper_clair@aderwy I am on a similar boat but my delayed baggage report doesn't seem to have an email! only a phone number which one cannot get through!
@Lufthansa_USA PLEASE come up with a better solution than these! It took me an entire day yesterday to get through to the phone number on the report just ONCE and I already have this link- it just tells me what I already know! I cannot spend an entire day navigating through YOUR mess!

It took me an entire day yesterday to get through to the @Lufthansa_USA to find out they also don't know why delivery ticket has not been issued yet. Essentially it seems they have lost it.
