@SolofJoshxbox@Brewers_Kitchen Sure but that’s the case with everything Brudiclad. He’s funny, and has powerful weird interactions, but he is neither fast nor particularly resilient
@ClancysCorner I think this “excitement starvation” leads a lot of fans to desperately cling to ideas like Willis, despite the fact that there’s no real proof he’s even better than Brisett. And frankly no QB this cycle is better than Kyler.
@ClancysCorner So I think to a lot of people Malik Willis’ “upside” represented hope, which is something the cardinals have lacked for a minute. Even when we get a little hope it generally lasts less than a season.j
@Gambo987 Bare minimum expectation is Kyler Murray plays the entire season at the level of a franchise quarterback. If that happens, I expect to win a playoff game because Kyler is so electric. Anything short of that, and I think it’s time to start looking for other options at QB and OC
@GavinVerhey To expand on this: I think it’d be cool to have a rebel commander that could have some interesting mechanics whether or not you want to make her Volrath in disguise. Maybe a transform mechanic xD
@SaffronOlive This isn’t just a magic thing, but game theory in general.
If you’re in a losing position you can’t expect to play conservatively and win. That’s hoping for your opponent to lose the game for you. Instead You want to take bigger risks for bigger rewards.
@golgariguy@BurningOleander But again, basically any lifegain, board state, or interaction from the opponents stops that win attempt. And don’t discount making 10 saprolings. That’s also an investment.
It just feels disingenuous to suggest that craterhoof is on the same level as an infinite combo
@golgariguy@BurningOleander 10 saprolings don’t win with craterhoof unless your opponents have virtually no creatures on board.
10 1/1 saprolings each getting +11 power = 120 damage
+ the 16 from the Craterhoof.
So 136 damage DOES kill with a literally empty board with basically no interaction at all.
@SaffronOlive For the next 2-4 years? Absolutely. A lot of these IPs can support multiple sets (The middle earth one was set only during lord of the rings). Forever? Probably not, but when has MtG EVER done anything “forever”?
@ghirapurigears I think a lot of people recognize that this isn’t intended to be a call for death. The issue I see is that unless someone has the same experiences as you, frequents the same corners of the internet as you, and views the world the same as you, it becomes taken as a threat or wish
