@BreeSolstad source? sorry if i missed it. also interesting what's missing on this list, like: serves the vulnerable... evangelizes others... prays... what's the index on those?
YES. But, it's also a sad truth that in many Catholic parishes lazy and imprecise language is used to describe it. No Catholic parish anywhere "sells sacraments" but they do recoup costs associated with ceremonies and sometimes they explain that very, very poorly. Simony is condemned by scripture and the Catholic church.
@JoshuaTCharles You should consider putting the Deacon at the right of the Priest (just like you have in the OT example), would be liturgically correct, and also make the comparison more clear. Otherwise some may think Levite = Priest, rather than Levite = Deacon.
@RichardRohrOFM โI have come not to abolish (the previous system) but to fulfill it.โ Jesus completes the law, he doesnโt abrogate it. Heโs God, not an activist. High correlation between activists and egoists.
sometimes the reasons even defy logic and common sense... i met a woman once who told me she left the church because catholics have a corpus on the cross, that was it... i was incredulous but my incredulity made it none the less true... there are many reasons... some are about rationalizing (or denying) sin, some are due to being wounded by clergy (or other parishioners)... some may make no sense at all... we ought to be authentic witnesses and evangelize convincingly - and worry less about the rationale
Human beings are called to be co-workers in the work of creation, not merely passive consumers of content generated by artificial technology. Our dignity lies in our ability to reflect, choose freely, love unconditionally, and enter into authentic relationships with others. Recognizing and safeguarding what characterizes the human person and guarantees their balanced growth is essential for establishing an adequate framework to manage the consequences of artificial intelligence.
