The American Culture and Faith Institute survey done by George Barna. They asked pastors if they’d preach what the Bible says on today’s controversial issues. Only 2% said yes — most avoided it to not offend their congregation.
The more detailed, recent work from his team at Arizona Christian University is the American Worldview Inventory 2022. It surveyed 1,000 Christian pastors and found only 37% have a consistently biblical worldview, with 62% mixing in other beliefs. It shows a lot of pulpits aren’t fully grounded in it Christianity and are preaching something other than God.
