Cadet of the Year Reflection 💚

As the year draws to a close, as with all good things, my year as County Cadet of the Year must come to an end.

Here is the Reflection I gave at the County Carol Service about my year as the 2025 Cadet of the Year for Greater Manchester.

Carol Service 🎄✨

Today I attended the Greater Manchester Carol Service at Rochdale Parish Church, where I got to give a reading, a reflection on my year as COTY, and handover to Gracie and Evie- our 2026 COTY and Deputy.

Emergency Responder 🚑

November also saw 2 other COTYs and I complete our Emergency Responder course in Stockport! It was a great course and I’m excited to use my new clinical skills on events 💚

County Awards Presentation Evening 🏆

Attending this special event was amazing- I handed out awards and received both my Gold DofE, and the Badger Sett of the Year Award, on behalf of Wigan Badgers! 🦡🌟

In August I attended Manchester Pride for yet another year- always a great event where we treat lots of patients and learn lots of new skills and knowledge from MRT and HCPs 🚑

St John’s Day 2025 💚🎉

On Saturday, I had the privilege of attending Mansion House and St Paul’s Cathedral, being part of the cadet flag party. It was 32°☀️ but an unforgettable experience! It was great to be reunited with the amazing COTYs, represent NW and celebrate SJA. 🌟

Last weekend I had the pleasure of helping out on a cadet/badger weekend!

Cadet Leader 1 and Grand Prior/Super Badger subjects were completed by young people from across the North West (some even joined us from the NE). Huge well done to everyone- excited for camp next! 😁💚

Great Manchester Run ‘25 🏃‍♀️

Today I was at the Great Manchester Run 2025! A great day in the sunshine having an amazing time and learning lots, while treating any runners who needed us. Well done to all!

VE DAY 80 🇬🇧

What an honour to attend Westminster Abbey alongside other RCOTYs and our NCOTY on the 80th anniversary of VE Day! It was such a privilege to hand out white roses to World War II Veterans and I had a great time with such amazing people. 💚

Organ Donor Awards Ceremony 🎖️

On Thursday, I had the honour of attending the Organ Donor Awards in GM, an emotional day honouring those who have saved lives through organ donation, and their families.
