In the just concluded Zambian elections. The security forces shot and killed a former minister with the Opposition. They didn’t announce the shooting and claimed they didn’t know who it was they had killed till several days later.

The opposition candidate is in hiding. The opposition indicated an intention to file an election petition. Yesterday was the day they were going to file it. It was also the last day they could file the petition.

The Government closed all courts; told judges to stay home.

This too is a Democracy. But Burkina Faso is bad!

All the taxes in this image go directly to the government, it is only the network charge that goes to a private technology company called Ghana Link. The only reason people say the port doesn’t belong to Ghana is because a private company runs the container terminal, which is why you pay container fees and other charges separately. So, the high duties we are paying have nothing to do with that private company, it’s the government taking your money. My next post will explain more about the network charge
