Offsets: Boosters $36M, Fees/Support $9M, Endowment $3M/school
SEC:
Losses ranged $32M–$133M per school
Avg revenue: $133.6M vs. expenses: $205M (↑23% in 2 years)
Texas: -$23.3M, Oklahoma: -$43.7M
Offsets: Boosters $71M, Fees/Support $7M/school → $3.8M surplus after offsets
Why the losses?
Big Ten: $76M media vs. $205M expenses
SEC: $72M media vs. $205M expenses
Boosters cover 70-95% of losses
With revenue sharing adding ~$30M in costs this year, schools are aggressively seeking increased revenue sources.
