Here are the 5 most interesting crypto fundraises (according to me) for the week ending 1/17/25:

1) Reown (fmr WalletConnect)

Web3 communication protocol @WalletConnect , now known as @reown_ , raised $12.5M in a Series B round led by Union Square Ventures (USV) and 1kx, with participation from GDA Capital, Shopify, Kraken Ventures, and many others.

We all know WalletConnect as a way to log in to many dapps. Now they’ll use these funds to decentralize their infrastructure and continue their mission toward interoperability across Web2 and Web3.

2) Torram

Bitcoin DeFi infrastructure provider @Torram_xyz raised a $710K pre-seed round from Draper Associates, BoostVC, Deep Ventures (that’s us!) and others.

Torram is building institutional-grade DeFi infrastructure, such as oracles and indexers, directly on Bitcoin to unlock the trillions of capital in the ecosystem.

3) Ooga Booga

Berachain’s liquidity aggregator @0xoogabooga raised $1.5M in a Strategic round led by Primal Capital with participation from Aquanow, Smape Capital, and others.

Berachain is set to launch soon, and $1.6B of liquidity has made its way to its prelaunch liquidity platform, Boyco. Ooga Booga will surely benefit from this, and I’m sure we’ll see many other teams buliding on Bera raise funds soon!

4) 1Money

Layer 1 for stablecoin payments @1MoneyNetwork emerged from stealth and raised $20M in a Seed round from F-Prime Capital, Galaxy Digital, Hack VC, and others.

1Money aims to be the fastest, cheapest, and most compliant payment network for stablecoins and is designed to eliminate delays, volatile fees, and security vulnerabilities.

We love infra that’s purpose-built, and 1Money is aiming for the massive stablecoin market with their L1.

5) Enclave

Privacy-focused protocol @EnclaveE3 raised $1M in a Public sale at a $60M FDV, hosted on Legion.

Enclave uses a combo of FHE, zk proofs, and threshold cryptography to create Encrypted Execution Environments (E3) for developers to build privacy-preserving applications.

We are proud investors in Enclave and love what they’re building!
