My team and I just wrapped up 𝗭𝗲𝗻𝗱, our submission for the 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻.

We built 𝗭𝗲𝗻𝗱 to solve a real problem — making crypto payments accessible for everyone, starting in Nigeria. With 𝗭𝗲𝗻𝗱, users can send and receive Base USDC using just an 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲. Your crypto can be stored in the form of a link in your email for years if need be, waiting for the day you choose to claim what is yours. It’s designed to make onboarding easy for those new to crypto, letting people earn and get paid without needing to dive into the technical side.

This isn’t just for crypto enthusiasts. With the ability to buy @base USDC directly with fiat like Naira, 𝗭𝗲𝗻𝗱 helps bridge the gap for everyday people, freelancers, and businesses who want to step into decentralized finance. While we ran into issues with @coinbase verification for Nigerians, we hope this challenge will be resolved soon so more people can use these tools to their full potential.

The goal of 𝗭𝗲𝗻𝗱 is to empower users, especially in Nigeria and across Africa, by removing the barriers that limit crypto adoption. We want to open the door to decentralized payments for communities that could benefit the most from financial inclusion and freedom.
