Black Friday 2024 is shaping up to be one of the best Black Friday trading periods we have seen in some time. My views in this @MailOnline piece. https://t.co/xjLRnVCpaS
Thanks to @CityAM for including my views in this piece on fashion rental. Rental had a rough time during COVID given its reliance on occasionwear, but is on the rise again - via both rental pure plays, and high street multiples offering rental. https://t.co/6yxCTBBWEN
Can new CEO Schulman turn @Burberry ‘s fortunes around? Their share price has suffered over the past year due to a mix of poor direction and macro issues and a focused return to affordable luxury is what is needed. My views in @thisismoney here: https://t.co/kYkK9taPtX
200 new restaurants are planned across the UK and Ireland by @McDonalds in a new £1bn expansion drive. My views in this @BBCNews piece here:

Good to be quoted in this @retailgazette piece on @FrasersGroupPLC acquiring shopping centres. With @LVMH buying Bicester Village and @IKEA buying Churchill Square in Brighton, there is an increasing trend of occupiers buying property that they occupy.

@soult Very little that can be done with small cinemas (most of those to close have 6 screens) - but I know for larger multiplexes that there are smaller cinema operators that would retain a cinema element but repurpose the rest as leisure/competitive socialising - which can work well.
Cineworld's planned closure of 6 sites is likely to be just a first tranche of site closures - I have no doubt there will be more to come. My views in this @CoStarNews piece here:

Is Daniel Kretinsky building a European Amazon? Recent investments imply this may well be the case, with stakes in a range of retail and logistics businesses across Europe, and his recent £3.6bn bid for Royal Mail.

My views in this @retailgazette piece on what went wrong at @Carpetright . Clearly lots of factors at play; chief of which is the rise and rise of Tapi. https://t.co/hDKolhenbH
Would you like to travel to [European city] and deliver a keynote speech? We have no budget for a speaker's fee and we can't cover your flight or hotel either.
But networking!
Fortunately, this is a rare occurrence but can't help but feel 🤯 when it does.
Made my Netflix debut on their ‘24 Hours in Lidl’ show a couple of days ago. Do check it out when you can. And no, I didn’t actually spend 24 hours in Lidl myself! :)
Great performance from @LidlGB in the recent @Kantar data, with quarterly sales +9.4% vs @AldiUK at +2.2%. My views on why Lidl's numbers are so strong in @thisismoney:
