Enjoying the inspirational information being shared by Shauna DeMarco, Sue DeNobile, Sarah Bilotti and Jeanene Dutt about women in leadership at #njpsa40. I also appreciated the shout out!
Grateful for @MsBliteracylady who explored learning while engaging multiple senses with literacy teachers from around the region in @NVCurriculum workshop Demystifying Multisensory Reading Instruction #NValleyEd
Today my K students learned about MLK. We read Young Martin Luther King, Jr. “I Have a Dream” by Joanne Mattern. I am SO proud of their learning today and every day.
Taking a multisensory approach to learning sight words engages our neural pathways. We build, write, spell, and say new words as a means of committing them to memory. The best part? Students have FUN!
We remember Peter Altamura, Jr.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Peter then spent 40 years as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor in Bergenfield. He was a man of great faith who loved spending time with his family. May God bless Peter.
Year 4 looks a little different, but I am so excited to be back in my classroom! One more day of screening tomorrow and then I get to welcome my entire K class on Tuesday! 💙💛
