As an astrophysicist, I first came to recognize God through the design and sheer awesomeness of the universe. But the more I learn about biology, particularly of human beings, the more I stand amazed.

Galaxies are incredible and awesome structures, but in terms of complexity and design, they don't even come close to the awesomeness of human bodies. I don't understand why some atheists are so down on humankind and think we're nothing compared with the universe. It's not about size or even number, y'all.*

A universe filled with stars, galaxies, and black holes may be immense and grand, but I can simulate a lot of it with a relatively simple Fortran program. It's got nothing on the sheer wonder contained within a single human body, which is its own biological universe of unbelievable complexity and purpose.
