The recent sale rumours, the Mike Gordon stepping back and Jurgen Klopp openly speaking about having potential new owners suggests to me that a deal is much further down the line than some say.
Not near completion but, going through the necessities of an offer review/sale.
Jurgen Klopp:
“In the structure we have, we are able to spend money. But it was always that we have to look at what we earn. That was always the situation. How we've done it so far has brought us where we are. But sometimes you have to spend.”
Klopp on new investment: "From time to time you have to throw in proven quality. And in an ideal world, they are young as well and not 35. From time to time you have to take some risk. I have no idea what will happen but I am positive about it."
🚨 Liverpool director Mike Gordon stepping back from managing operations + CEO Billy Hogan taking greater responsibility, as @BostonGlobe reports. Described as natural evolution but sources say Gordon will focus on potential #LFC sale by FSG @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/NG4J8WpgiI
📺 Jurgen Klopp on being able to spend money:
"In the structure we have, we are able to spend money. But it was always that we have to look at what we earn. That was always the situation. How we've done it so far has brought us where we are. But sometimes you have to spend." 🔴
#Liverpool for sale update:
Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have TWO bids on the table according to sources. At this stage we have no information if bids are accepted or rejected.
We also understand Steve Ballmer has made early stage enquires at this stage.
