Sorry these are long... but Deacons Daily is officially ending :..(
I'm really proud of what we we were able to build as a team in less than a year. Big s/o to @essexthayer7@BenConroyWFU and the rest of DD!
Don't worry though... I'm not going anywhere 😎

Congratulations to Coach Larrañaga and the Miami Hurricanes for making the Final Four!
This group has such amazing chemistry and trust in each other. I love watching them play. It's just fun basketball. And Coach L is the mastermind behind it all...
ACC represent!
For the second-straight year, the ACC (which has routinely been looked down upon) will have a team in the Final Four.
There will not be another representative from any other Power Five conference.
I'm sure this fact will be promptly forgotten the moment next season tips off.
"We're a really special staff. I'm really thankful to be a part of it."
- Josh Hartle on Wake Forest holding Miami to 2 runs all weekend
*Miami scored 37 last weekend*
"This is a culmination of a lot of hard work by a lot of people. Just a testament to all the great things we are doing at Wake Forest."
- Tom Walter on the weekend attendance record
Also touched on the success of the athletic department as a whole, referenced John Currie, Steve Forbes and Dave Clawson
FINAL: Wake Forest 4, Miami 1 (8 innings)
Hartle: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 9 K
Bennett: 1-4, 3 RBI, HR
Cueto: 1-1, 2 HBP, BB
Hawke: 2-4
Johnson: 1-2
Deacs get the huge sweep against a ranked team. Will return to action for a Tuesday midweeker 20 miles down I-74 at High Point.
Hawke flies out to left to end the inning, but the Deacs get an insurance run on a Cueto homer.
We will go to the eighth at 4:38. Keener back to the mound.
Wake: 4
Miami: 1

Miami makes a pitching change at 4:36.
Two outs in the inning. If the next 9 minutes go quick, they may have just lost themselves the game on that call.
Walters comes in and slams the door shut on the Deacs, stranding two.
That's going to do it for Josh Hartle, and another very good start for the sophomore: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 9K
In to pitch is Seth Keener, who tossed a scoreless inning yesterday.
Wake: 3
Miami: 1

Just announced that the weekend attendance at The Couch was 5,967, a regular-season series record.
Great weekend and the fans played a huge role.
Time to finish the job.
