There’s actually a bigggggg issue with the turnaround time for basic necessities in the UK. Like getting house can take 20+ weeks, finding a job can take months, NHS waiting lists still have millions of people waiting for treatment, benefits and support can take weeks to process… And there seems to be no immediate solution offered to people while they’re waiting…. And unless you can afford to go private, you’re basically expected to just sit and wait months to even years…How are people supposed to survive in the gap between needing help and actually receiving it? Life doesn’t pause for many weeks/months. Bills still need paying, people still need somewhere to live, food still needs buying, people still need income and people can’t put their health on hold while they wait for treatment. I just feel like there needs to be much more focus on immediate, practical solutions rather than systems that simply tell people to wait!!!!!!
That shit is overrated actually. Your life will not consist mostly of moments of epistemic exegesis and unbundling philosophical conundrums. Go and do the dishes, clean the yard, mow the lawn, figure out your retirement savings etc with a human happy to be there with you
in a country that worships consumerism the media you enjoy becomes a part of your identity so when people criticize that it feels like a personal attack. but this is because you have no identity or sense of community outside of media
coming back to this, genuinely sick to my stomach that people will allow autistic children to be abused for being autistic. He isn't a master manipulator HES FOUR. If this was a neuotypical kid we were talking about people would RIOT, but it isn't. Genuinely sickening.
@lebantineala Because we're all going to be raisins after a few decades unless your type is someone who doesn't have an intellectual disability or disability in general it doesn't make thaaaat much sense
Like yh humans prefer things but it gets tuah point....
Everytime I travel abroad or go to a nice place it reminds me of how boring what people consider a good life can be
I'd rather study or go to nature, or work out. All of it is more fun
