@Unseen_Domains Thanks! lol yea, don't enter an Infestation if you don't want the smoke. I wanted the smoke... and I paid the price in this full gameplay I just recorded and uploaded:

Glad you like it. Fine-tuning the balance between light, fog, and performance is an art in itself, especially when there are so many moving parts with their own effects in the mix.
This new Infestation will be featured in the upcoming playtest, so I'm excited to see how you guys will survive it.
@PlayGameGen Thank you for appreciating the details. I put a lot of work into this area from a blank canvas.
There's no smoke and mirrors or invisible barriers. If you can see it, you can explore it. And if you fall into the ocean, well... let's just say drowning won't be what kills you.
@MilikaTepa I re-did the VFX and pose a couple of times because it didn't quite catch the vibe I was aiming for, so it's rewarding to hear the balance landed right with others too. Thank you, you're awesome for sharing that.
Yea exactly, just trying to keep my energy focused on making the game as fun and exciting as possible.
I see the grind, and I respect it my friend. No exact date yet, but I can answer Yes to soon. I'm giving the playtest everything I got to make sure you guys gonna have a blast with it, and I'm super excited to get your feedback.
@thaddeusPrime Haha I appreciate you for real. Right now my focus is locked on development and the upcoming playtest, so I'm not looking to add more responsibilities or outside services into the mix. But genuinely appreciate your support.
@ph4rosound The playtest is going to have the full Deadtale experience, including Infestations, Nightmare Infestations, and Hives. Plenty of ways to get your adrenaline pumping and your ass kicked lol
@ph4rosound Hell yea, it's still a bit rough around the edges, but it's getting there. Recording in-engine drops my FPS like crazy, but here's a little preview
Appreciate it. My posts aren't planned around one specific angle, but more a mixed bag of transparent development progress while picking up feedback from all the amazing people who have been reaching out.
The closed playtest is meant to give players the full Deadtale loop with atmosphere, combat, exploration - and enough freedom to see what holds and what breaks.
Been giving existing POIs and safe zones a makeover while building entirely new ones from scratch for the upcoming playtest, all without sacrificing performance. Not even the smallest buildings escaped the detail creep.
