Last night was a full-circle moment. 🖤

Marilyn Manson was easily TOP 2 concerts I’ve ever seen — somehow even better the second time around.

But hearing Rob Zombie play “Superbeast” live hit different. I discovered him as a kid through the Twisted Metal games, so standing there all these years later hearing that song in person checked off a childhood bucket-list moment I didn’t even realize I still had.

And I got to experience it all with Kass. 🤘

There are date nights… and then there’s our kind of date night. 🖤

Kass and I are finally escaping real life for a few hours tonight, and apparently romance for us means Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, questionable amounts of black clothing, ringing ears, and screaming lyrics at each other all night. 😂🤘

And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

It’s been way too long since we’ve gotten a night that’s just us. No responsibilities. No schedules. No running around trying to get a million things done. Just getting dressed up, getting weird, and going to see two artists that basically soundtracked an entire generation of beautifully damaged kids like us.

🏴‍☠️ RAIDER NATION IS A FAMILY TRADITION. 🏴‍☠️

Second preseason game tonight, which means it was time for our annual family Raiders photo.

Every year we take this picture, and every year it means a little more to me. It’s not really about the jerseys or even the game, it’s about tradition. It’s about all of us getting dressed up, crowding together for a picture, me getting hyped for kickoff, and making another memory that I know I’ll look back on years from now.

Seeing my wife beside me and my daughter and son growing up in the Silver & Black makes this one extra special. One day the kids are going to be grown, but we’ll have these photos to look back on and remember all those nights we got together as a family and screamed at the TV for four quarters. Alanna has is now going into her twelfth season so of course I had to make an annual collage!

The family is together.
The Silver & Black is on.
The tradition continues.
