Scary—my best friend, brothers since we were 12 and the only non-Christians in our middle school, is a devout Muslim and couldn’t disagree with this man more. But he also recognizes how money flows toward extreme elements in his own community. If we don’t strengthen moderate Muslims, Jews, and Christians, who wins? The extremists. There are bad people in every group, but trashing an entire community only pushes people toward extremism.
