living with a hearing impairment *tweets are for humorous purposes, not meant to offend*

[Andy Slavitt @ASlavitt]

Parents of kids w disabilities never wondered whether Trump making fun of a reporter w disabilities meant something.

Now everyone knows. https://t.co/jdJsuxsVlx

[Joe Biden @JoeBiden]

Day of shame in Congress. Protections for pre-existing conditions, mental health, maternity care, addiction services -- all gone.

HELP ME PLEASE. A MAN NEEDS HIS NUGGS

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

me when my friend wants to talk while there's music playing in the car

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

me when I'm having a conversation with someone who has a lisp and I can't understand a single thing they're saying but I'm tryna be polite

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

that mini panic attack you have when you lose one of your hearing aids

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

When your professor assigns a podcast for homework and you give up when you can't find a transcript anywhere online

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

It's almost embarrassing to admit how many times I have to say "what" in a conversation when I'm talking with friends 🙈

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

when you're trying to follow a conversation with a group of people but there's too many things going on at once for you to handle

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

me when my professor forgets to put the CC on the videos even though you told them 5x that you need it

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

It's hella annoying when your friends say something but you missed it and say "what?" then they laugh. JUST TELL ME. SORRY I CAN'T HEAR.

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

You know you've played the deaf/HOH card too many times when your best friends are sick of you and they say "we get it, you can't hear"

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

It's hella awkward when a new friend goes to whisper something in your ear but you try to play it off and look at them instead

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

Sometimes I hate being the driver when my friends and I are going somewhere cause it means I miss out on the conversations they're having 🙄

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

It's a little awkward when someone goes to hug you but they get a little too close to your hearing aids so they hear the feedback 😶

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

I SUCK at remembering a new person's name when I'm first introduced to them because they spoke too fast and I didn't hear 🙈

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

I low key love having the option of shutting my hearing aids off when I want to ignore people or if I don't feel like listening anymore

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

There's nothing more freeing than taking your hearing aids off after a long day

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

it's so annoying when the captioning doesn't line up to what the person on TV is saying so you're wasting time trying to catch up 🙄

[Deaf Problems @DeafProbs]

it would be fab if more singers put their lyrics on the big screen during their concert so I'm not struggling to figure out the words 🙃
