3 weeks ago when I picked her up she was utterly broken. Today Biscotti was getting her golden ticket to retire with us. According to the kind local who alerted us…

🛻 She had been hit by a truck recently. Locals had also been chasing her and possibly hitting her. She was hiding under a shack with no fur and her nose was rotting away with a bacterial infection. That’s how her story was going to end.

🏡 She now has a golden ticket to stay with us for the rest of her life. Her health is improving very fast with daily vet care.

🐕 She has made some wonderful gentle friends. She really likes the company of gentle dogs and humans.

🩷 I gave her one of Tina’s old bandana to welcome her in officially.

Biscotti literally cannot stop smiling. Love, care and security have given her a new chance at life. What a lovely dog she is.

8 months ago Chance was stabbed 3 times in the stomach and didn’t trust humans.

I took her for a little beach trip to spoil her. Look at her eyes full of wonder (and a little fear as it’s her first time on the scooter) and the little paw on the foot ❤️

Another unnecessary pet death!

The BBC report that a dog owner whose pet died after bolting when he was panicked by a #firework has called for tighter legal restrictions on the #explosives. Amen to that!

Hannah Carass had let dachshund Alan in the garden before bed when a person in an adjoining plot #threw a #firework at the shared fence.

The three-year-old sausage dog bolted from the property [enclosed garden] on Trinity Fields in Knaresborough and was found dead the next morning after being struck by a vehicle on the A59.

RIP Alan, and our sincere condolences to Hannah.

Tom Boyd has severe autism but he enjoys stacking shelves so he offered to do it for free at his local Waitrose.

They let him work for SIX HUNDRED HOURS UNPAID over FOUR YEARS

His family asked could he be paid going forward because he's doing such a great job and WAITROSE TOLD HIM TO LEAVE
