Splitting every planter is a key for us. Yes it’s a pain but it continually pays off for our operation year over year. You never know what kind of year will be thrown at you, plus it gives you great hybrid comparison data. Hybrid diversity is big!!
There are 2 requirements every year for us at Deal Farms to get started with harvest.
1. 90% of our neighbors need to have started
2. Lunch, we can never start harvest in the morning.
