Why I keep 60% of my wealth outside India 🌍
For years, I’ve navigated the maze of LRS, high TCS, and the struggle to find the right "route" for global diversification.
Today, I’m launching Global Investing Sahi Hai to simplify this for everyone.
Check out the best paths to go global: 🔗 https://t.co/wYIRqgSyFC
But I want to hear from you:
What is the #1 thing stopping you from investing globally?
❌ 20% TCS upfront?
❌ Complex LRS paperwork?
❌ Choosing between GIFT City vs. Direct US Stocks? ❌ High conversion fees?
Reply below with your biggest pain points or any clarifications you need.
Let’s figure out the best way to build global portfolios together! 📈

How can Indians invest?
Open a global investing account through platforms such as INDmoney or Interactive Brokers and invest under the RBI's LRS framework.
Things to know:
• Counts towards the $250,000 annual LRS limit
• TCS may apply on larger remittances (adjustable against tax liability)
Same gold. Different price.

I've been investing globally for years.
Then I watched a video by @thedeshbhakt on why Indians should invest globally.
I started looking for a simple, practical guide for Indian investors. I Spent hours searching.
Couldn't find one place that compared all the options clearly. So I built it.
Didn't expect him to follow on day one. That made my week.

@pengzillaa@TheDeshBhakt If you plan to become NRI , international brokers is a better option. Gift city retail funds have fund level taxation.
Yes if you are an NRI , capital gains would possibly be charged in country to migrate to not india.
More then 200 people have bookmarked this.
Clearly the question of how Indians invest globally is more common than I thought.
If you're one of them — the answer is here 👇

@PravinTiwariX@TheDeshBhakt Number 1 are brokers like IndMoney, etc which are indian based brokers. (Primarily US)
Number 5 are global brokers like IBKR/ Schwab for possibly HNI investors ( These have access to multiple markets)
Major difference in both is nomination.
