I’m not applauding Branch for punching Schuster; he shouldn’t have done it. But let’s back up a bit.

Mahomes was taunting Branch directly during the game (uncalled by the refs, of course). So it’s no wonder Branch wasn’t interested in shaking Mahomes hand. For some reason, Schuster wanted to press the issue and got slapped for it.

There are two morals to this story:

1. Don’t punch a guy. And,
