As I bid farewell to Congress today, I depart more deeply in love with my country and more deeply disgusted by the dysfunction of our government.
We can and must do better, and my mission to awaken America's exhausted majority and make common sense cool again is just beginning.
Edited comments of Sen Marco Rubio, R-Fl, September 2016, raising questions about providing billions to Iran as part of a nuclear deal given the regime’s funding of terrorism.
Eager for the next President of the United States - whether a Republican or Democrat - to restore the dignity of the office, the nation, and Air Force One.
Hard to believe the “deal” being circulated is legitimate and has been signed by President Trump.
If true, it will rank among the most consequential and costly strategic blunders in recent history.
700,000 American households (the top .5%) hold $40 trillion in assets.
Our federal debt, essentially a credit card for the affluent, is also $40 trillion.
Does anyone agree we must acknowledge the debt disaster and develop a payment plan?
I support the removal of the Iranian regime, including the use of military force to prevent nuclear capability.
I also support investing as much money as that takes ($25b so far) to ensure every American has healthcare and a roof over their head. #AmericaFirst
Rahm Emanuel is delivering the Democratic Party a dose of tough medicine—in his usual blunt style—as the party enters a critical midterm primary season https://t.co/OoBSwGoGzR
Apparently @jamestalarico won with a huge turnout from young adults. Want to know why? Here is my guess:
On social media, the algorithms give you more of what you consume. Talarico’s messages are positive. To the point of being “syrupy”.
Voters that committed to watching his social posts, got more of not only his posts, but also other positive messages.
Contrast that with historically negative messaging across past elections, and I think the contrast was striking and motivational for many. Enough to draw record numbers to a primary.
It may be crazy to some, but the idea of “my feed and FYP got better the more I watched his videos” is enough to get voters excited to support and vote for him.
Call it “PositivityMaxxing” 😂. But I truly believe that candidates that can give positive messages, authentically and confidently , can be part of a new successful trend. Regardless of party or office.
Thoughts ?
Newsom and Vance have traded authentic leadership for political chameleonship - the remarkable ability to say anything to ingratiate themselves w/primary voters.
It is exceptionally rare for tribe members to challenge their own in Congress.
Kudos to @SenThomTillis for exposing the remarkable incompetency and cowardice of @KristiNoem
