@stevensupdates Thanks again for the up to date communication. We're looking forward to more of the same & transparency with a new GM. Makes sense that operations would be limited today. Great to see Tye Mill open. Nice variety give limited operations. Lets see what Vail can actually do.
@stevensupdates Again, thanks for communicating. Looking at the cams, for once it makes sense that you would not be open. Everything looks completely buried. We are planning on skiing tomorrow, however, so please have everything running by then :)
@stevensupdates Although the news is not welcome; that all terrain is not open, the communication is appreciated. More communication, better. At least we know WHY 7th is closed. How about WHY the rest of the mountain is closed as well? Why not just tell the truth?
@stevensupdates I've skied Stevens for over 50 years. Never heard of Skyline being closed for avalanches. From where? I'm thinking current management does not know this mountain very well.
@stevensupdates As a 50 year patron I've never seen the backside closed as much as lately, or since Vail took over. Smaller crews? Different economics? We know things have changed...more transparency would be nice so people could make informed choices about where to spend their skiing dollars.
@stevensupdates Marc Riddell of Vail responded to an email on 2/11 saying that the issue was sourcing replacement parts for this old chair...an unpredictable factor...and that 7th would be back as soon as possible.
@stevensupdates Marc Riddell, Dir. of Communications for Vail Corp., responded to an email yesterday saying that the issue was "sourcing replacement parts for what is an old chair" and that it would be back on line as soon as possible. Thank you Marc!
