The hope and trust we, parents, teachers, children, administrators and community members place in each other’s hands on the first day of school is sacred. This year, even more so. Let’s take good care of one another.
Saving this, holding some cards for my Ss in case we go distance learning. Also, my Ss & Ps loved our bitmoji classroom. I have Ss accessing material/lessons after school bc they want too. It works for 5th grade & me-it’s the one thing I can control.

Okay, so today is didn't use Zoom breakout rooms and instead made Google Meet meetings for each group with me in them. Game changer, because I could have all the rooms visible at once (in separate windows) and even listen to them all when I could handle the cacophony.

To be 100% clear, I don't know what the right decision is regarding school this fall. I know educators are doing the best they can to make it work for all kids. I also know parents are advocating for what is best for their kids. Wish we could all provide each other some grace.
