With all the excitement of the past week of mothing, this Concolorous trapped @Bawdsey_Hall on 28 May largely went under the radar. @MigrantMothUK@BC_Suffolk
Feathered Beauty from @Bawdsey_Hall last night. Also Ni Moth, Gem, Flame Wainscot and Bordered Straw. An Eastern Bordered Straw in my garden at Hollesley. @MigrantMothUK@BC_Suffolk
Delighted to get a second chance at the Gull-billed Tern at @RSPBMinsmere this afternoon having missed it by minutes on 20 May! Only my second GBT in Suffolk. It's very mobile and gave me the runaround today.
Powdered Grass-veneer (Thisanotia chrysonuchella) from @Bawdsey_Hall last night. A new pyralid moth for Bawdsey. The second vc25 record. Likely an immigrant. @MigrantMothUK@BC_Suffolk
A gorgeous male Snow Bunting from Landguard, Suffolk, on 22 February. Three birds have been present here for much of the winter but will soon be off to their breeding grounds.
An enjoyable morning at Carlton Marshes, Suffolk, with the highlight the continuing drake American Wigeon. Also seen were a single Tundra Bean Goose and c150 White-fronted Geese.
Record shot of Slavonian Grebe at Hollesley Marshes, Suffolk, this afternoon. A rare bird in the county since the demise of the Stour wintering population in recent years.
It was nice to see my first Killdeer on British soil in twenty years today at Ripley, Hampshire. Also, Little Gull of note here. Then, on to Holbury for the Great-tailed Grackle.
