Dear Dad

I lost my Dad in 1999 to a sudden heart attack. I've never quite been the same. I miss him dearly.

That one hurt. But all you really ever did was hurt me so it's par for the course.

I went to Jims last night. It was the first time I'd been there in a couple months.

[Dear Dad @DearDadIMissYou]

So I talked to Jim today. He remembers nothing about yesterday on the river. He was drunk. Great.

[Dear Dad @DearDadIMissYou]

I didn't hear from either one of them today.

[Dear Dad @DearDadIMissYou]

I stoop there petting her a little longer than usual. #Greatful

[Dear Dad @DearDadIMissYou]

When I got home last night, for the first time in about 3 years, she got up to greet my at the door.

It was a long and rigorous ordeal and recovery for everyone. Especially Poe.

[Dear Dad @DearDadIMissYou]

Poe, my now 10 year old Shepard, had one of her hind legs removed due to a severe infection last September.
