@Randomlyberry I think bonus experience as a vehicle for side objectives even in rout and kill boss maps always means you have to spin at least two objects in your mind which is vastly superior to the other games in the series, I wish that would come back more than anything
@Randomlyberry the people don't want crunch in their game anymore tho they wanna glide through and experience everything optimally, they could never have a bk fight in a modern game. they would never let a main character need to be put down
@Randomlyberry genuinely don't get what it's not doing for them apart from the obvious exclusion of romance and high school as a setting and I just find that kinda sad lol
@GreatCheshire if you enjoyed 3 hd2d then I really implore you play the 2 hd2d remake, really the crowning achievement of the project and so so so full of life and joy
@fetwtconfession the thing is that save states are abusable, especially in gba games where you can rig your rng. the older games that have in built map save mechanics tho work really well and have down side that go along with them, something you don't get with the turnwheel mechanic in modern
@Randomlyberry yeah dodging being in the game as your training wheels for learning parry timings is a bit silly but i guess it's because they wanted big damage numbers, not super into it but man this game's combat is awesome
@derekunleashed it's a weird point that kind of distracts from their main argument which I agree with lol, makes me unsure of whether I even wanna watch the video (also showing let's go pikachu/eevee as if it was a graphical update remake intended to replace the kanto experience is just wrong)
@ThePsyShyster v good thread ! kaga always seemed to be very interested in irish myth so it's a shame to see they're removing a little bit of that connection in the "modernisation" without him
