A touching story about Wendell — a rescued opossum (North American possum) who was saved when he was very young, only the size of a mouse, and later grew into an adorable “fluff monster.” 💖✨
Wendell was found when he was still extremely small, rat-sized, alone and weak on the streets. Dolly Neely (the rescuer) took him in and cared for him.
From a tiny, scruffy little baby with barely opened eyes, Wendell slowly grew up. He was bottle-fed, cuddled, bathed, and played with. Over time, he became very attached to Dolly, often clinging to her shoulder, sleeping alongside her, and showing a gentle, affectionate personality.
Wendell eventually grew into a large opossum with thick, fluffy fur — a true “fluff monster,” looking like a warm, soft ball of fur. Dolly describes him as a “love sponge” — he loves giving and receiving affection, enjoys hugs and cuddles, and is squishy, mushy, and incredibly sweet.
