Let's address this horseshit...

Starting with the fact that social security numbers were/are not being summarily handed out to undocumented immigrants. This is not a thing.

The program that issues SSNs to migrants residing in the US LEGALLY—typically working and paying taxes—is called the Enumeration Beyond Entry program (EBE), and it began UNDER DONALD J TRUMP.

These migrants have work permits, are naturalized, have lawful status, green cards and/or legal work authorization.

Moreover, having a Social Security number does not automatically entitle these migrants to benefits.

This is right-wing propaganda that has been packaged in many different forms over the years.

In fact, undocumented immigrants are barred from most federally funded programs.

And here's what's really going to blow the MAGA hivemind—a lot of these immigrants pay SIGNIFICANT taxes.

They pay BILLIONS in taxes into programs like Social Security and Medicare—programs that they cannot access.

These taxes directly fund social programs. In other words, while immigrants help to pay for public benefits, they are also prohibited from receiving any coverage or aid of their own.

Hell, in some states, immigrants pay more taxes than the top 1% of households.

Studies show that immigrants pay more in taxes than they'll ever receive back from the government.

MEANWHILE, Republicans unanimously decided to cut programs like Medicaid and deprive millions of Americans of their access to healthcare under the guise of some bullshit, xenophobic narrative about immigrants stealing tax dollars. A tired narrative that they've relied on so often in the past.

These claims are culture war fuel, nothing else.

Claims that become the basis for their "great replacement" and election fraud conspiracy theories.

Disinformation that goes a long way in legitimizing their fears and their grievances, their hatred and contempt for immigrants and foreigners, minorities and marginalized groups—even for anyone subjectively deemed a "left-wing "agitator."

Moreover, it helps them rationalize to themselves why excessive and unconstitutional national security measures are warranted.

Why the federal government's authoritarian occupation of US cities is necessary to quell the "immigrant invasion."

Research also shows that both undocumented and legal immigrants alike contribute trillions of dollars to our GDP and play a crucial role in helping to sustain and grow our economy.

Immigrants make up a sizable chunk of the labor force.

Even economists are concerned that deporting such a large number of immigrants at once could leave a hole in that labor force.

Immigrants contribute considerably to our economic growth and take on work in sectors that are crucial to the economy. And when these sectors face labor shortages, the economic consequences are quite severe.

This means that the loss of even a small portion of this workforce will lead to outcomes like increased prices and inflation, supply chain issues, unstable wages, reduced GDP and purchasing power and volatile fluctuations in supply and demand.

Then there are issues like unemployment and permanent job vacancies. Business owners who hire cheap, immigrant labor will not justify paying living wages to those that actually have the privilege to demand fair pay.

Combine this with the consequences of Trump's big ugly bill and you've got yourself a recipe for an economic disaster.

That said—and according to actual data—immigrants are not committing crimes at a greater rate than native born Americans.

One study found that undocumented immigrants in particular had "substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses.”

The facts also show that immigrants are not smuggling large quantities of fentanyl into the US. Most seizures are happening at ports of entry, and these drugs are primarily being smuggled in by US citizens no less.

Yes gas was $3-4 for a time while coming back from a supply chain disaster in DJT's 1st term. By 2024 gas was $2.60 in Florida and I got a history of pump price pictures to prove it
