I spent the first day of the Bengali New Year, Poila Boishakh, in the most meaningful way possible, among the people, walking with them, sharing their smiles and their strength. This is where I draw my purpose from. Since taking office in 2011, my singular commitment has been to serve my mothers, brothers, and sisters of Bengal, to ensure that their aspirations are heard, respected, and fulfilled. That is the promise I have lived by every single day.

But today, it pains me deeply to see the suffering and humiliation being inflicted upon them by Bangla-Birodhi BJP. Their existence is being questioned, their constitutional rights are under threat, and in BJP-ruled states, people are being tortured and tormented. They want to impose uniformity by erasing our language, our culture, our food habits, and our diversity. They believe Bengal can be controlled from Delhi and Gujarat. They are mistaken. Bengal will never bow.

It is our collective duty to ensure that Bengal remains in the hands of those who respect our Maa, protect our Mati, and stand with our Manush. I appeal to each one of you to place your trust in us once again. Support our candidates, Mosaraf Hussain from Itahar, Md. মধুকৃষ্ণা ত্রয়োদশীর পুণ্যলগ্নে, মহাবারুণী, পূর্ণব্রহ্ম শ্রী শ্রী হরিচাঁদ ঠাকুরের আবির্ভাব তিথিতে তাঁকে জানাই আমার বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা ও প্রণাম। এই উপলক্ষে আমি সমগ্র বিশ্বের সকল সাধু, গোঁসাই, দলপতি, মতুয়াভক্তবৃন্দ সহ সকলকে জানাই আমার অনেক অনেক শুভেচ্ছা, অভিনন্দন ও ভালোবাসা। এটা আমাদের গর্ব যে তাঁকে সম্মান জানিয়ে তাঁর জন্মদিবসে সরকারি ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।

ঠাকুরনগরে, ঠাকুরবাড়ির কাছাকাছি হরিচাঁদ-গুরুচাঁদ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় করা হয়েছে। কৃষ্ণনগরে গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে হরিচাঁদ গুরুচাঁদ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের এক্সটেনশন ক্যাম্পাস। গাইঘাটায় পি আর ঠাকুর সরকারি কলেজ করা হয়েছে।

পানীয় জলের জন্য হাবড়া-গাইঘাটা – ‘জলতৃপ্তি’ জল প্রকল্প করা হয়েছে। ইছামতী নদীর ওপর মুড়িঘাটা ব্রিজ ও বলদেঘাটা খালের ওপর কুঠিপাড়া নাগবাড়ি ব্রিজ তৈরী করা হয়েছে। গাইঘাটায় নতুন ITI ও Polytechnic কলেজ করা হয়েছে। গাইঘাটায় হয়েছে কিষাণ মান্ডি। ঠাকুরনগরের বিখ্যাত ফুলবাজার ও ফুল-চাষীদের কথা মাথায় রেখে ওখানে অনেক পদক্ষেপ করা হয়েছে। ঠাকুরনগরকে ঢেলে সাজানো হয়েছে।

আমাদের সরকার অসামান্য সামাজিক অবদানের জন্য বড়মা'কে রাজ্যের সর্বোচ্চ সম্মান 'বঙ্গবিভূষণ'-এ ভূষিত করেছে।

শ্রীশ্রী হরিচাঁদ ঠাকুর যে লড়াইয়ের সূচনা করেছিলেন, তা ছিল মানুষের আত্মসম্মান ও মৌলিক অধিকার রক্ষার লড়াই। আজ বড়ই বেদনার সঙ্গে দেখছি, সেই পবিত্র সংগ্রামকে কালিমালিপ্ত করার চেষ্টা করছে বিজেপি সরকার। ভোটার তালিকা সংশোধনের নামে তারা আসলে মানুষের নাগরিকত্বের অধিকার কেড়ে নিতে চাইছে, মানুষের মনে ভয় ধরিয়ে দিচ্ছে। যারা যুগ যুগ ধরে এই মাটির সন্তান, যারা এ দেশের প্রকৃত নাগরিক, তাদের অধিকার কেড়ে নেওয়ার এই চক্রান্ত আমি কোনোভাবেই মেনে নেব না।

মতুয়া ভাই-বোনেদের অধিকার রক্ষায় আমি অতীতেও পাশে ছিলাম, আজও আছি এবং ভবিষ্যতেও অতন্দ্র প্রহরীর মতো লড়াই চালিয়ে যাব। মনে রাখবেন, বাংলার মাটিতে মানুষের অধিকার নিয়ে ছিনিমিনি খেলতে আমি কাউকে দেব না।

Political Tourist @narendramodi landed in Bengal again, spewing propaganda, fake figures & poisonous jumla like always. He claims to give “Modi ki Guarantee”, but the only thing he guarantees is loot, chaos & hatred. Let’s fact-check his big claims one by one:

❗Lie 1: “BJP is doing development in Bengal”
Reality: You stalled ₹1.96 lakh crore meant for Bengal. Meanwhile, under Lakshmir Bhandar alone, Bengal spends ₹26,700 crore every year, total crossed ₹74,000 crore, using Bengal’s own tax money for Bengal’s daughters.

❗Lie 2: “Bengal Government not using Central funds”
Reality: Your government withheld ₹52,000 crore of MGNREGA funds, even after Calcutta High Court & Supreme Court orders.

❗Lie 3: "Why No Jal Jeevan Mission in Bengal”
Reality: Centre itself blocked ₹2,525 crore of Jal Jeevan funds, punishing Bengal for political revenge.

❗Lie 4: “Women are unsafe in Bengal”
Reality: BJP-ruled UP & MP top crimes against women. BJP-ruled Delhi, over 2,000 crimes per lakh population. Kolkata? Safest city in India.

❗Lie 5: “Illegal infiltrators in Bengal”
Reality: You deleted nearly 60 lakh names & put 60 lakh under adjudication. How many actual infiltrators? Zero proof, only voter suppression.

Bengal knows the difference between jumla and real governance. No propaganda can hide the truth.

I am pleased to announce an increase of ₹500 in the monthly honorariums extended to our purohits and muezzins, whose service sustains the spiritual and social life of our communities. With this revision, they will now receive ₹2,000 per month.

At the same time, all fresh applications that have been duly submitted by purohits and muezzins have also been approved by the State Government.
