In terms of what's next... another thing that was happening in the United States (that I think the BBC even covered) was the green lighting of drugs to go to the mass population that didn't pass regulation in other Western countries. Drugs like Meridia killed a lot of people in the US and they just ignored it. Your system used to be pretty strong but I'm sure they will be working to wear that down. Regulation of industry in America is just run by lobbyists for those industries. It's extraordinarily dangerous.
