@neiltyson God is not hungry for credit. Giving credit to god, is like giving credit to central banks. Rather God wants us to appreciate eachother...
It makes more sense to give appreciation to the hardwork of a living person, and make that person happy.
@Dostoevskyquot Yes, i believe it's a human need.
People can believe anything they want, but that's not going to stop god from existing or not existing.
Humans are just another creature under the sun. Our opinions aren't that important.
@aswren I see that children are usually more reasonable than adults. But we stuff their brains with loads of fantastic stories and tell them that those stories are real... so, by the time they reach adulthood, they become just as unreasonable like the rest of us.
@aswren This problem could be scientific. When religion makes the brain believe in a lot of irrational stuff to be true... then the brain gets confused and gradually loses its capacity to distinguish the right from the wrong. They very circuit for reasoning gets damaged.
@ML_Philosophy Unfortunately, no one can escape ugliness. Ugliness is infectious. One cannot remain immaculate forever while surrounded by so much ugliness. We can perhaps try to be real & find a way to accept and acknowledge our ugliness... so that we can start at some point
@Titania2468 We've survived billions of years of evolution and billions of obstacles to be here.
Whatever has to happen, WILL happen. Don't worry. Don't hurry. Don't lose sleep.
Be honest and do whatever you can. This is what i said to myself, apart from taking magnesium glycinate.
@_B___S If it is in my power, I'd breed the domesticated varieties back with wolves, so that they can go back to being free, independent in the wild. Domesticated animals that become 'stray' in human settlements end up having the most miserable lives, worse than being extinct in the wild
@JDaviesPhD When we are healthy, we expect infinite energy from others. When we are wealthy, we don't understand the struggles of others... when we're young, we don't know how it feels to be old. Basically, our general lack of understanding & consideration for the other person's situation.
