The biggest mystery of the IPL Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Tilak Varma all are players who could easily become captains if they joined any other team. These are India’s current top 5 players, and Mumbai Indians have managed to keep all of them together.🫡
Even after last season’s huge captaincy controversy, and earlier when they retained Pollard with the team as a coach even though he could have easily played for another 3–4 seasons it’s truly admirable how the Mumbai Indians’ owners and players have stayed united and kept the team strong.
It’s something remarkable, especially after seeing other teams are losing or releasing players that no one ever thought would leave.
@mipaltan deserve respect for this.🫡💙

Mandira Bedi, the sponser of Indian women's cricket from 2003-2005, returns to India with the team after 2005 CWC campaign.
Here, with Mithali Raj.
Emotions so high, that Anjum Chopra did an interview with Harmanpreet in Punjabi on the World feed (which is in English 😭).. Harman spoke so so well here. So good. Look at how happy Reema is for her.
Best interview from the night imo.

A poor PUNJABI father of a girl child worked as a carpenter . When his daughter decided to play cricket, he backed her . Got her into professional cricket training. His colleagues mocked him & laughed at him . He had a firm belief that his girl was special . The girl turned into a fine alrounder . When TEAM INDIA was struggling against SL in the WC opener, she scored the decisive runs, gave India a triumphant start to the campaign . She was consistently decent with the bat & ball. Scored a quick fire cameo & hit the winning runs in the semi finals, was again decent with the bat & ball in the finals , took the most crucial catch to dimiss LAURA WOLVAARDT . Her father watched the finals on a big screen with the villagers , probably also along with those who once laughed at him . The man broke out after his daughter became a World champion yesterday. The name is AMANJOT KAUR.
I was watching the match in HARYANA , a state that was once infamous for patriarchy, high female foetecide, bothersome male female ratio . I could hear crackers after every single S.AFRICAN wicket, the city went haywire after the final wicket fell . It was like DEEPAWALI out here . That was so refreshing .
AMANJOT KAUR … watta story .
Before we knew the entire women's team, we knew one name: Anjum Chopra. In an era when women's cricket struggled for the spotlight, she was its most visible face, not just for her brilliant career on the field, but for her presence in the men's cricket pre and post-match shows. She kept the flame alive. She kept it relevant.
Seeing her celebrate with our World Champion team today feels like a full-circle moment. This victory is for the team, and it's also for pioneers like her who paved the way. Truly, truly deserved. @chopraanjum
What happened last night is a testament to the fact that when you give wings to a dream, dreams do come true.
The girls were brilliant, but one must acknowledge the support behind this watershed moment, four years of planning and belief. When @JayShah Sir was the BCCI Secretary, the @BCCI introduced initiatives that changed the course of women’s cricket, from equal match fees and the Women’s Premier League to a stronger domestic structure, India A tours, and a thriving U19 pathway.
Now, the @ICC continues to shape the women’s game, with the World Cup being hosted at home and the prize pool raised to 13.88 million dollars, a fourfold increase that shows how far the game has come.
For every person standing behind a young girl who dares to dream of wearing India’s colours, this is a pivotal moment, a reminder that dreams do come true when those dreams get the support they truly deserve. ❤️
Take a moment to applaud Ian Raphael Bishop.
He skipped several men’s tournaments to cover this world cup & absolutely put firepower in the commentary box and pumped in energy with his brilliant blessed voice.
My favourite commentator by some distance.

Winning moment ! Congrats to team India
Excellent captaincy by Harmanpreet Kaur
Chose to play final on a fair batting pitch 🔥 Wish men's team did same in 2023 CWC.
