Deeply anguished by the tragic incident in Murshidabad. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.

When passenger trains collide with school vehicles, claiming innocent lives, accountability cannot remain a forgotten virtue! Who will answer for these repeated tragedies? Or has the @BJP4India Government abandoned all sense of responsibility?

Was this yet another consequence of systemic negligence? A failure of signalling? Or a dangerous culture in which safety is sacrificed at the altar of administrative complacency?

At this moment of profound grief, justice must prevail. Those responsible, at every level, must be held accountable.

The people of Bengal deserve a government that protects lives, not the recurring failures of the much-touted "Double Engine Government" which has proven to be nothing short of a DOUBLE ENGINE DISASTER.

Despite clear Court orders permitting a peaceful protest, how did @BJP4Bengal-backed goons launch such brutal assaults on our workers?

NO ONE WAS SPARED.
Our women workers were assaulted and molested in broad daylight as those entrusted with safeguarding the public stood by as mute spectators. Such a flagrant abdication of duty raises profound questions about the state of law enforcement and the sanctity of the rule of law itself.

Why is @BJP4India so afraid of Trinamool Congress workers? Why were people exercising their democratic rights made to fight for their lives in a hospital instead?

Today, #Bengal witnessed the BJP’s true face. Beyond politics of vendetta, intimidation and violence, they seem to have little to offer. Their workers have been reduced to instruments of hooliganism rather than participants in a democratic process.

The people of Bengal will judge.

Fifteen “Achievements” of the BJP’s Double-Engine Government in West Bengal- Just Two Months In.

1️⃣ Breaking away MPs from the AITC.

2️⃣ Breaking away MLAs from the AITC.

3️⃣ Creating a proxy Leader of the Opposition in the WBLA who functions at the direction of the state BJP and acts as their stooge.

4️⃣ Freezing AITC bank accounts in an attempt to financially choke the party.

5️⃣ Implicating Thousands of Trinamool workers in cases. Attempting to weaken and divide the AITC by every possible means.

6️⃣ Blocking roads for seven days in the name of Yoga Diwas.

7️⃣ Reports of more than 14 rape incidents across the state, including cases involving minors.

8️⃣ Demolition of minority religious institutions in broad daylight.

9️⃣ Opposition leaders being placed under house arrest.

🔟 Removal of more than 10000000 ( ONE CRORE) genuine beneficiaries from the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme.

1️⃣ 1️⃣ For the first time in West Bengal eggs have been removed from children’s mid-day meals and replaced with vegetarian alternatives, depriving children of a vital source of protein.

1️⃣ 2️⃣ Bulldozer action against members of marginalized communities and hawkers. The homes of the poor are being demolished and their livelihoods are being destroyed.

1️⃣ 3️⃣ Central and State Security cover for those who compromise and lick their feet, while withdrawing protection from those who refuse to bend.

1️⃣ 4️⃣ CID, ED, STF and CBI notices and raids against those who continue to resist.

1️⃣ 5️⃣ The Solicitor General appearing for the West Bengal Police under the instructions of Delhi’s “ZAMINDARS” seeking repeated adjournments and attempting to persuade the judiciary so that no interim relief is granted to those fighting for the people of West Bengal.

If the BJP truly believes it has won West Bengal through the people’s mandate then why does it appear so fearful of political opposition and the TRINAMOOL ?

I strongly condemn the attack on MP @MahuaMoitra. The silence of the WB Police, despite the High Court’s recent direction to the DGP to ensure appropriate safeguards, raises serious questions.

Is this what PORIBARTAN was meant to look like?

When an elected representative is heckled simply because she refuses to bend, it is not an expression of strength. It is an admission of insecurity and cowardice.

To those clapping from the sidelines:

Don’t mistake today’s political power for permanent immunity. Every abuse of authority leaves a mark and every act of intimidation is remembered. The tide of politics changes faster than many expect.

The rule of law in West Bengal has been reduced to a casualty of BJP’s politics.

State agencies are picking up citizens without notice. BJP cadres are attacking AITC workers, parading them with ropes tied around their waists, hurling stones and causing fatal injuries. BJP hooligans have taken the law into their own hands and are unleashing violence across different parts of West Bengal every day.

Supreme Court guidelines and BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS are being VIOLATED in broad daylight.

Political parties are being broken. Bank accounts are being frozen. MLAs are being pressured, threatened and booked in false cases for refusing to defect. Sitting MLAs who refuse to bow down are being implicated overnight and continues to be in Jail.

If the BJP truly won Bengal on the strength of the people’s mandate, why is it so afraid?
Why this crackdown?
Why this desperate attempt to silence every voice of dissent?

This is the only state where the present Chief Minister was caught on camera allegedly taking bribe.

A party that rose to power by fanning religious hatred and exploiting faith for political gain now stands accused of misappropriating donations meant for the RAM MANDIR. Can there be a greater BETRAYAL OF THE VERY FAITH it claims to protect?

To the people of WB and India, the message is clear:

The honest and unflinching are sent to jail, while the corrupt compromise and join the BJP.

The BJP does not want your vote. It wants an opposition free state and an opposition free country, where citizens lose the right to protest, dissent, question and criticise.

Bengal has been turned into a police state. But in a democracy, people are supreme, not any political party.

India is watching and everything will be remembered.

A section of the media is reporting that I have sought Central security cover following the attack on me in Sonarpur on the 30th of last month. This claim is entirely baseless and far from the truth.

I have not sought any security cover in the seven days since the attack. The incident occurred under the watch of both the Central and State governments and they must answer serious questions regarding the circumstances surrounding it.

What is even more disturbing is that over the past month, West Bengal has witnessed numerous incidents of rape and other horrific crimes affecting ordinary citizens, many of which have received little or no attention. The safety and security of the people should be the foremost priority of those entrusted with governance.

I urge both the State and Central security agencies to focus on protecting the citizens of West Bengal rather than allowing misinformation and politically motivated narratives to be amplified through sections of the media.

The people deserve safety, accountability and the truth.

Thank you, Rahul ji, for your concern and constant support. We stand united and resolute in our fight to protect the soul of India, defend its democratic institutions and uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution.

Last year, I travelled across five countries representing India as part of the all-party delegation for Operation Sindoor. I defended my country and stood united against terrorism.

Today, I stand as a victim of political violence and state sponsored terrorism unleashed by those who claim to be the guardians of nationalism.

This is the reality of today’s BJP. If you support them, you are a patriot. If you question them, you become a target. If you stand with them, you are celebrated. If you stand against them, they try to silence you.

I would rather face intimidation while defending democracy than enjoy comfort by surrendering my principles.

Power is temporary. The will of the people is permanent. I will bow only before the people, never before the people in power.

We will continue our fight against those who seek to weaken democracy and divide our nation. INDIA STANDS UNITED and together, we will ensure that the politics of fear, hatred, violence and intimidation is defeated, and that the voice of the people prevails.

Today, I visited the family of Biswajit Pattanayak in Beleghata.
Biswajit was a dedicated Trinamool Congress worker whose BRUTAL MURDER EXPOSED THE DANGEROUS CLIMATE OF VIOLENCE THAT HAS ENGULFED BENGAL since @BJP4Bengal CAPTURED power.

No family should have to endure such loss. Yet, as I spoke to his loved ones, I saw not only grief but also a burning desire for justice.

The Falta AC repoll counting today exposes glaring inconsistencies. By 3:30 pm in the afternoon today all 21 rounds were completed. On 4th May, till the same time, only 2- 4 rounds had taken place. The country deserves an explanation from the ECI.

Although more than 1000 workers from Falta have been forced to flee their homes in the last 10 days the Election Commission continued to turn a blind eye. Party offices were vandalised in broad daylight even when the Model Code of Conduct was in force.

The Election Commission has taken no action. Instead, the CEO, who was allegedly used by the ECI to delete names under the guise of SIR and manipulate the electoral process, was appointed Chief Secretary of the new WB government at a time when the Model Code of Conduct was still in force in Falta and the polling process had not even been completed.

Even more worrying, counting agents of Trinamool and other political parties, except the BJP, were allegedly thrown out of the venue on May 4th by officials and central forces deployed under the Election Commission of India.

This is deeply alarming and strikes at the heart of free and fair elections.

Unless compromised officials are held accountable and an independent CCTV audit of the counting process is conducted, questions over the credibility of the mandate will only grow stronger.

The truth cannot be suppressed forever!
