Social media can have negative, sometimes dire, impacts on teens’ physical and mental health — and teens are talking about it.
@tvkatesnow shares teens’ experiences online and how it affects them.
Studies show the more teens and children scroll, the higher the instances of depression and suicide. The impact goes beyond children’s mental health and wellbeing; children and teen’s physical safety is also being compromised within their own home as predators target victims on social media. The fact is this is a preventable problem that we can no longer ignore. Will you join me in honoring Walker Montgomery’s legacy by sharing the facts with others? Be aware of the risks and take the necessary precautions to protect you and your loved ones.
Providing information about available public and private resources is pro-women, pro-baby, pro-life, and pro-choice. @LynnFitchAG Thank you for your leadership MAMA - Mississippi Access to Maternal Assistance. Well done! https://t.co/aqsie1fvsO

A run-on sentence:
In a culture where we’ve already canceled one another completely out and done immeasurable harm to innumerable people, the only sane way ahead is to learn in Christ how to treat one another with decency and dignity—even in our deep disagreement—and, with the humility that ought be firmly ingrained and fully alive in each individual saved by grace, reach deeply down for some measure of mutual compassion as fellow humans in a hateful world dying to know Jesus.
And yes, I am a nightmare to my book editors.
On Monday, we will be unveiling the Mississippi Access to Maternal Assistance program, also known as MAMA. MAMA is a website that makes it easy for mothers to quickly find and access the countless public and private resources available in Mississippi. If you know of an organization who should be featured on the site, please email us at [email protected] #TheEmpowermentProject
On the evening of September 11, 2001, President George Bush told the nation, "Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America." In some regards, we will never be the same. The feelings we experienced watching planes fly into buildings on live tv, the changes to our way of life that came in the years to follow and the memory of all who were lost will always be with us. But I am proud that one thing remains the same: the foundation of America has not been touched.
Launched in the months following the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision, The Empowerment Project is a policy initiative to help families of all stages and phases with tools and resources to upskill, educate and grow.
Regardless of the circumstances, motherhood is an adjustment for women and families, and The Empowerment Project meets women where they are with compassionate, life-affirming options.
I am proud of the Mississippi State Legislature for adopting a number of our policy goals this year, but there's much work left to be done, both in Mississippi and across the nation. The principles laid out in our agenda don't have to apply only to Mississippi families, they can work for states all across the country. But, we need everyone to step up and do their part to make this agenda a reality - lawmakers, nonprofits, businesses, and YOU.
