I just spoke with President Trump @POTUS. An important conversation, and we got through a lot. We agreed to meet in New York, and this meeting could change a lot. There is diplomatic momentum.

I thanked the President for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s visit to Kyiv. We went through the key details thoroughly, and they saw the situation in Ukraine firsthand. The peace track is our number one priority.

There are ideas for de-escalation steps and for addressing fundamental security issues – energy security, food security, and the protection of human life. We are working together with the American team and are ready to take really serious steps.

I thanked the American President for signing the Lindsey Graham bill into law. We all concur – there must be peace. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine! Thank you to everyone who’s helping!

For the record: Ed Sheeran specifically addressed October 7th in his speech tonight, saying, “What happened in Israel at the Nova music festival on October 7th was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain.”

He’s probably one of the ONLY artists who has specifically acknowledged the Nova music festival by name. He’s not going to make everyone happy, obviously. But give the guy credit for saying it. And as he said, he’s there to talk about MUSIC, not politics. Give the guy some grace and respect, and move on.

Our long-range responses had a very significant impact in the Moscow region last night. One of Russia’s key oil industry facilities and the aggressor’s logistics facility were hit. These are billions of dollars that sustain the war machine. The systems used included FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen, and Pelican.

I thank our warriors for their accuracy: the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Sanctions were also imposed on a facility in the Voronezh region. Moscow must end its brutal war and choose peace instead of building layered rings of air defense at the expense of other regions. Steps toward de-escalation are on the table – in energy and food security. What is needed is political will. I thank everyone who is strengthening Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. I am grateful to everyone who complements our long-range responses with responses through sanctions. Glory to Ukraine!

Palestinian factions including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the PFLP, DFLP, Fatah’s Black September and Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, and others have carried out numerous attacks over decades that targeted civilians specifically.

Including but certainly not limited to…….

1972 Black September, a Fatah-linked group, carried out the Munich Olympics massacre in which eleven Israeli athletes and coaches were taken hostage and slaughtered in cold blood. That same year the PFLP killed twenty-six civilians in the Lod Airport massacre.

1974 the DFLP killed twenty-two children and three adults in the Ma’alot school massacre after taking a school hostage, and PFLP-GC killed eighteen civilians including eight children in Kiryat Shmona.

1978 Fatah killed thirty-eight civilians including thirteen children in the Coastal Road massacre after hijacking a bus.

1985 the Palestine Liberation Front hijacked the Achille Lauro and murdered American passenger Leon Klinghoffer.
Suicide and bus attacks continued through the late 1980s and 1990s, including the 1989 Tel Aviv–Jerusalem bus 405 attack that killed sixteen people.

2000 to 2005 more than one thousand Israelis were killed in suicide bombings, shootings, and other attacks by Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Fatah offshoots. High-casualty examples include the 2001 Dolphinarium disco bombing that killed twenty-one people, mostly teenagers;

2001 Sbarro pizzeria bombing that killed fifteen.

2002 Park Hotel Passover massacre in Netanya that killed thirty.

2003 Maxim restaurant bombing in Haifa that killed twenty-one.

2023. 1200 slaughtered. Of those, around 815 were civilians (including at least 36 children and dozens of foreign nationals).
