My Bill would place a duty on banks to ensure that donors have mental capacity to consent, notify family and loved ones of a Lasting Power of Attorney, and force the Office of the Public Guardian to put freezing orders on those they are investigating. 2/3

@BBCRadio4 @SueM1tchell LPAs are not scrutinsed. The OPG are too slow. The Local Authority do nothing. This needs a full investigation and review. Everyone defaults to the LPA and noone goes against them. It is wrong.
