@SoilAssociation Please add @ClareCraigPath petition to your website. HELP consumers fight to remove SFA from ORGANIC bread/flour. The Government promised a window of SFA free bread/flour in the form of wholemeal, GF, Spelt but producers are adding it anyway as its a voluntary exemption. This is making it extremely difficult for the MILLIONS who HAVE to avoid SFA.

Folic acid is a SYNTHETIC manmade substance and has NO place in ALL foods but since SA are an ORGANIC org - lets focus on organic white flour/bread for this post:

@LeilaniDowding That’s the same with my cucumbers. Though I am overrun with tomatoes, and have been freezing, bottling, and adding to every meal as a garnish. Nothing beats the taste of homegrown even if it’s only a few!

@VictoriaHa50399 I researched lots, read many reviews and went for the Panasonic 2540 and it’s turned out amazing loaves everyday so far. Only tried the basic and rapid loaf recipes but using Stoates stoneground strong white flour which is a small local mill, and folic free, bread has been fab 🙌

More folic acid confusion.
I bought 6 buttermilk pancakes from M&S. Pic 1 shows the label on the back. No mention of folic acid, same on their website.
But, a pack of 4 pancakes has folic acid listed online (pic 2).
@marksandspencer must stop misleading their customers.

@trevandvick I’ve looked at Jason loaves in Waitrose before and Folic Acid was an ingredient so I bought Black Sheep instead which at the moment doesn’t contain Folic Acid.

Breadcrumbs (fresh or dried)

Stuffing mixes
Breadsticks, grissini
Soft pretzels
Melba toast, crispbreads (many wheat-based)
Crumpets, pikelets
Scones (plain, fruit, cheese)
Muffins (English-style and American-style bakery muffins)

2. White Flour Itself & Basic Baking Staples
Plain / all-purpose white flour
