I am very saddened by what happened a few days ago in the women’s Penitentiary Centre in Honduras. I pray for the deceased and for their families. May the Virgin of Suyapa, Mother of Honduras, help hearts to open themselves to reconciliation and brotherhood even within prisons.

At 10 years old, Vanda Semyonovna Obiedkova survived the Germans by hiding in a basement in Mariupol.
81 years later, she died in a basement in the same city as a victim of the horrific war hiding from the Russians.

Boris Romantschenko, 96, who survived the Nazi Holocaust during World War II has been killed during shelling in his apartment block in the eastern city of Kharkiv.

My biggest moment of intercession is at the distribution of communion. Can any of us be so sinless: full of Grace, as to be worthy of the presence of the Lord at communion? Yet we receive the Lord in the Eucharist because we trust in his mercy! Let's pray & wish same for sinners!
