BREAKING NEWS: Ketanji Brown Jackson—the daughter of public servants, a public school graduate, and the first public defender and Black woman to sit on our nation's highest court—has been CONFIRMED as the next Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
This ruling is an impt win for public health and shows there is a clear public interest in speaking out to combat misinformation. Thanks to @globeandmail for supporting us & thanks to our lawyers, Andrew MacDonald & Carlos Martins & others at WeirFoulds. https://t.co/f3BTcRmx9q
Today is #December6 the National Day Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women. On December 6, 1989, 13 women who were engineering students and 1 woman who was an administrator at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal were murdered in an act of misogynist anti-feminist violence.
Today we’re pausing to remember #Dec6, when the lives of 14 brilliant women were cut short by an act of misogyny.
So much is at risk today. What we do now will prove exactly what we’ve learned from past tragedies, and what we hope our future will hold. https://t.co/wULBqs6UFK
We are going to have a woman VP. A Black woman. Also the first S Asian American. A Lady Lawyer.
Give yourself a moment to celebrate this. Because this is big. And there are going to be amazing pantsuits. With pockets!
Congratulations Madam Vice President @KamalaHarris
