Wisconsin couple, Meagan and her husband, Jon, were overjoyed to find out Meagan was finally pregnant.
At 20 weeks they found out that the fetus had skeletal dysplasia, a fetal anomaly.
As if things couldn't get worse Meagan was diagnosed with placenta previa, where her placenta covered her cervix. She would bleed out during a delivery.
Again no worries, Wisconsin right? Exceptions right?
Wisconsin had a total abortion ban with the exception only to save the life of the mother.
Every day, Meagan became more sick.
The law required three doctors to approve the abortion. They finally found three physicians who agreed the pregnancy caused a risk, however no Wisconsin Hospitals would perform the procedure.
The couple spent days researching to find a place out of state. All the while Meagan is being traumatized over and over again.
But hey pro-life right?

I’m alive today because the medical team was able to provide the treatment I needed for an ectopic pregnancy. And then I was fortunate enough to later have 3 healthy pregnancies. I stand with #KatieCox and all women who choose to live. And, in case you’re wondering, I stand with and support ALL women making their own reproductive choices.
11 years ago, 20 children and six adults were stolen from us at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
No matter how many years pass, my heart breaks for Newtown.
Today and always we remember those who should still be with us—and honor them by building a future free of gun violence.
