This new Roblox update requiring a paid subscription just to publish games is a serious problem. Many successful developers on Roblox started as kids, people in middle school or early high school, often with no money, just passion and curiosity. Now imagine developers from other regions where even small payments are a barrier. You’re not just adding a feature, you’re blocking access for thousands of potential creators.

Roblox has always been about opportunity. Anyone could start, learn and actually grow. If you put publishing behind a paywall, you’re not protecting the platform. You’re basically cutting off the next generation of developers before they even begin.

Safety is important, but this approach doesn’t stop bad actors. It just stops new, genuine creators. Please rethink this 🙏

If you really want "the old" Roblox back, we all need to support games made by solo/indie dev teams more than ever. Be understanding to issues they run into, be reasonable and constructive with feedback, try not to complain too much about them doing what they believe they need to do to properly monetize their games..

Why? Well Indie dev teams might not have all of the money and resources as the big companies do to afford hiring huge teams of devs to crank out content like some big money making machine, but being part of the community themselves, they have the passion to make cool stuff FOR the community and in my opinion that's what makes Roblox, Roblox.. so we need to encourage it! The more support we show for these games made by independent creators, the better chance we have for more creative, genuine, passion filled game dev projects to show up on Roblox, and the less Roblox will feel like it's full of a bunch of games that are completely out of touch with the community.
