@FrMatkin @RonOffringa I think what is called into question is the underlying hermeneutic of the Abuja: if it purports an accidentally contradictory philosophy at best and hypocritical at worst, than in either case, it needs to be rejected for a better articulation of evangelical catholic orthodoxy.

@extrasalt513 part of this is because of ACC 'we're the true jurisdiction, and unity means being absorbed by us on our terms' which the UECNA declined. APCK is interesting as its own split was DHC, which now joined. APCK has its own culture and seems fine retaining that and not being swallowed

The Prayer Book Society Canada's historic lectionary project, with Old Testament readings, Gradual Psalms, and 1662 collects has resolved my chief apprehension about the ACNA 2019: its retention of non-classical 1979 lectionary and collects. 2019TLE+PBS1662=💯

@jessenigro @Steeplemaster @1662IE most of the changes are not original, but trying to make the 1662 more into the 1928, without some of the positive aspects of the 1928. If you look through the collects the changes are made to align to the 1928 changes except different punctuation to secure copyright.

"Misogynistic sliver of North American Anglicanism" -- the @1662IE has polemicized the liturgy. This is why the Prayer Book should be a product of the whole Church, not just a few editors with an axe to grind.

@benjamindcrosby The constantly shifting text according to an ideology to push out some other ideology is not a becoming look. Changing a text for doctrinal reasons that subvert the original begs the question for whom are these intended? certainly not 1662 users outside UK.
