Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy travels through regular traffic in Hyderabad on Thursday while returning from Shamshabad Airport to his residence, after directing officials not to inconvenience the public during VIP movement.
The move followed instructions issued by Revanth Reddy to senior police officials a day earlier, asking them to avoid traffic blockades and reduce inconvenience to commuters across the city.

Hyderabad, June 14:
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) asserted that the people of Mahabubnagar have fully understood the injustice being done to the district by the Congress government and will decisively reject the party in the upcoming elections. He stated that the people of Mahabubnagar would politically drive Congress and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy out of the district.
KTR accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of betraying the interests of the region by sidelining the nearly completed Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. He alleged that the government was neglecting a project capable of irrigating lakhs of acres of farmland while prioritising commissions and contracts. According to KTR, the people have recognised this betrayal and will respond appropriately in the next elections.
He further remarked that although Revanth Reddy repeatedly claims to be a son of Mahabubnagar, his government has failed the district in every sector. KTR said that the people of Kodangal constituency would ensure Revanth Reddy's defeat in the coming elections, just as they had taught him a lesson in the past.
Stating that mere announcements and publicity campaigns cannot bring development, KTR criticised the Chief Minister for focusing on politics instead of completing crucial projects and fulfilling development commitments. He expressed confidence that the people would hold the government accountable for its failures.
Recalling the condition of Mahabubnagar before the formation of Telangana, KTR said the district was once known for drought and large-scale migration. He credited the BRS government under former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for transforming the district through extensive irrigation, welfare, and development initiatives, thereby reducing migration and improving livelihoods.
KTR acknowledged that the party had failed to effectively communicate its developmental achievements during the previous elections. However, he said that after experiencing Congress rule, people are now recognising the value of the development delivered by the previous BRS government. He urged party leaders to simultaneously expose the failures of the Congress government and remind people of the achievements accomplished during the BRS administration.
Particular emphasis, he said, should be placed on highlighting the injustice being done to Palamuru through the neglect of irrigation projects. KTR alleged that while the Congress party had ignored the district for six decades, depriving it of adequate drinking water and development, the current Congress government was continuing the same pattern of neglect.
Earlier in the day, KTR held an extensive review meeting with leaders from the undivided Mahabubnagar district at the residence of former Minister Lakshma Reddy. The meeting was attended by former ministers, former MLAs, MLCs, and sitting legislators.
During the meeting, KTR reviewed the prevailing political situation across the district and sought detailed feedback from party leaders regarding grassroots conditions. He assessed the progress of ongoing party programmes and constituency-level meetings and discussed preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and the party's membership enrolment drive.

“I reviewed the situation on June 1 and issued advance instructions, but officials failed to respond properly during the June 9 rains.”
Key takeaways from the CM’s warning:
• Poor coordination between #municipal and #police officials in core city areas will not be tolerated.
• Departments must work using data on #waterlogging points, #blackspots and #trafficcongestion zones.
• #Power utilities must be fully prepared for #heavyrains.
• Strict action against officials who stay away from the field.
• From top traffic officers to constables, everyone must be on the roads during downpours.
• “If required, I will come onto the roads myself.”
• Severe traffic jams during rains will invite accountability.
• “I will not tolerate problems caused by human error.”
• Traffic department vacancies to be filled immediately.
“If rain-induced traffic chaos continues, strict action is inevitable,” the Chief Minister warned.
