Spotted in Kingsbury, New York, another stack of broken panels, sitting out in the open next to a solar complex.
When panels are broken in this way, lead, silver, cadmium, tin, and zinc leach out of them onto the soil below. They also drop microplastics, glass shards (pictured below), and PFAS (forever chemicals).
Since the complexes are installed with out-of-state, and as we saw in Western New York this week, out-of-country labor, the workers are not concerned with environmental contamination at the worksite.
There is no regulatory body monitoring the installation of these solar complexes in Upstate New York. It's a free-for-all, equipped with green energy subsidies, credits, and foreign corporations.
This is what it gets you. The destruction of our rural way of life in real-time while panels poison prime farmland or animal habitat.
The power doesn't stay local (if it's even tied-in at all). Property values surrounding the complex go down. Taxes go up to make-up for the hundreds of acres taken out of the property tax roll.
This must end.
My wife is in labor!
@nyknicks, you have to win so my son is born in NYC on the day New York wins the NBA finals for the first time in 53 years. Give this baby a story to tell.
My baby is about to arrive, Knicks in 5!!!
If you earn $85 000 a year (a better than average US salary) and spend it at the rate of $1 a second, it will take you a whole day to spend it all. If you earn a billion dollars and spend it at the same rate, it will take you 32 years.
People have no idea how big a billion is.
Upstate and Western New York are like districts out of the Hunger Games right now. We’re being pillaged while bureaucrats from Albany force commercial solar and wind complexes on our towns against our will.
They’re doing it through the Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES), which takes its orders from @KathyHochul.
Honestly, i don't understand this economy when nursing homes are so expensive they bankrupt our grandparents but nursing home aides need to use food banks.
daycare is so expensive it eats up one parent's entire paycheck and yet daycare providers only make $10/hr and need second jobs.
college costs hundreds of thousands of dollars and puts students into debt for life and yet we have thousands of professors living in their cars.
everything we need is astronomically expensive and yet almost none of the money we pay is going towards the people actually doing the work and providing the services.
This was flagged to me today on FB. Currently working on speaking with local residents there to learn more.
If you live in Marilla, NY, feel free to DM me.

Here's the reality of a solar complex out in Byron, New York, where topsoil has been stripped, bulldozed, and piled across the street from solar arrays that are sitting in standing water.
Drainage retention ponds have been dug to spoil the natural drainage of the fields. Looks like they're doing a really great job of keeping that water drained!
That's what happens when you remove a land's topsoil and compact the ground below it. It's also what happens when you remove natural grasses and native plants that have 6 to 15 foot long root systems. Everything floods.
It takes 600 to 1,000 years for 6 inches of topsoil to form. These commercial solar builders strip the land of that topsoil and dump it in a pile, pictured below. They don't "spread out the soil" or reuse it elsewhere. Anywhere you've read that is utopian propaganda that does not exist at a single ORES solar complex in Upstate New York.
This is what these industrial zones look like instead. All for pathetic amounts of power that are unreliable, intermittent, and inaccessible when we need it most during the winter.
Your electric bill hasn't gone down. In fact, it's going to keep going up. The state needs billions of dollars to court these foreign developers with subsidies, credits, contracts, and promises.
This is the biggest scam ever peddled on the American public.
This land will never be farmed again.
We asked real New Yorkers what they think of Kathy Hochul.
A self-described Democrat called her a communist. Another said New York is falling apart.
These aren't Republicans. These are your neighbors. Your coworkers. Everyday New Yorkers who are done being lied to.
I'm the candidate they've been waiting for. Help is on the way.
It’s okay to be silly
It’s okay to make mistakes
It’s okay to be emotional

Both have accepted significant donations from groups and companies that bought their silence against renewable energy sprawl.
They’ve been compromised.
Here in New York State, the state gives out Environmental Protection Fund money to nonprofits in exchange for their obedience with solar and wind complexes.
Kathy Hochul and Zohran Mamdani are driving New Yorkers out of the state with higher taxes and more spending in their new budget.
Meanwhile, 97% of Americans saw a tax cut under the Working Families Bill, and in my district, constituents saw real relief because we were able to lift the cap on SALT.
This dog had a lot to say after someone called him a bad boy.
His owner started asking him about it, and he immediately started making the cutest little noises like he was explaining his side of the story. Every time she asked him a question, he had a response ready. It’s honestly adorable.
Do you have a dog that “talks back” when you speak to them?
More from inside the Adirondack Park, which is the largest park in the contiguous US.
If you attempted to build something like this in the ADK Park before @KathyHochul and her lapdog DEC Commissioner Amanda Lefton was installed, you’d be arrested or fined.
But now in the name of “saving the climate,” it’s OK to destroy land that’s meant to be Forever Wild.
We need to save the environment from the people “trying to save the environment.”
Kathy Hochul is destroying New York's farmland by covering it in solar panels.
This is the same farmland that’s buried in snow half the year.
It’s insanity, and I won’t stand for it.
You’re looking at thousands of studs that have been jammed into the ground, on what was previously prime farmland, as they continue to build out Cider Solar in Elba and Oakfield, New York.
The studs will hold the Chinese-made solar panels that were constructed and shipped with fossil fuels and rare earth minerals.
Cider Solar is a massive 500MW industrial complex that will destroy 4,000 acres by the time they’re done.
Since commercial solar only generates at 15% of its annual potential in Upstate NY (actually closer to 10% in Western NY), this 500MW complex will only generate 75MW of power when it’s all said and done.
Thousands of acres gone. Soil compacted. Runoff reported. Chemicals sprayed to suppress vegetation. Animals displaced in every direction. And the history and culture of these towns destroyed forever.
All for our governor, greedy politicians, and subsidies for foreign corporations.
