SEYSHEL BEACH CELEBRATION
The planet Seyshel Beach was liberated earlier this week following a long and concerted campaign by a small but inexplicably dedicated group of Helldivers. To annotate this long-awaited victory over the Illuminate, the citizens of the planet voted to establish the date of the planet's liberation as "Avengement Day."
On this new annual holiday, Beach citizens will pause to remember the planets lost to humanity's foes, and relish the superlative satisfaction of long-awaited retribution.
PlayStation has gone full Sega. They are dead. See how fucking stupid that sounds??? That’s literally how some of y’all talk about Xbox.
Personally, I think it’s cool that Xbox games are on PlayStation and PlayStation games are on Xbox. More games, more players. What’s the problem?
Here’s the former Halo Studio developer’s response to Phil Spencer’s layoff email: "I'm personally super pissed that Phil's email to us bragged about how this was the most profitable year ever for Xbox in the same breath as pulling the lever.”
My response: You have to be cheap as hell to layoff 5 or so employees from Halo Studios during your most profitable year. Also it’s incredibly dumb to negatively affect Halo Studios who are trying to build Halo’s future after many years of major development problems. #Xbox #Halo
What a terrible day for gaming
- Microsoft laid off 9,000+ people
- Multiple studios shut down
- Multiple projects cancelled
- Halo Studios issues
- Battlefield 6 issues
- Subnautica 2 issues
The AAA industry bloated bubble is bursting
This image has become a complete joke man
Open letter to The #Halo Forge Community
I struggled to find a way to write this that would not run afoul of previous agreements; Legal and otherwise so please excuse the vagueness.
For the better part of the last year and half what was once Microsoft's flagship ip has been consistently bailed out by nearly 100% fan creations in forge after the game was left floundering and content-less as the result of horrendous failures by 343 industries upper management.
Thanks to a herculean effort by a few dedicated members inside the studio and many dedicated fans this game is still profitable despite its poor launch and comparatively low population.
Increasingly, as covered by many channels, including @HiddenXperia and @Mr_Rebs_ , this goodwill has been pushed far beyond its breaking point both in terms of the dig site team and forge content.
To add insult to injury the little forge content Halo studios is willing to pay for contains a slew of technical deficiencies including dead respawn points, bad bot nav data, unsealed geometry, and poorly baked lighting.
we have gotten to a point where unpaid laborer's with more experience in the engine than actual paid third parties are asked to output superior content for free.
Add to this the now regular calls for content on the waypoint blog being tantamount to open unpaid contracts and we have entered into territory I can no longer defend.
To the forgers out there: Your free labor is being used to sell hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not more, of micro transactions while being seen as not real development work by some parties internally as revealed in several past public leaks.
You have not received a Cent for this service.
To halo studios: Pay your forgers; or at the very least don't insult their free labor to their face.
As a result of all this I have stopped playing and forging entirely and would like this to serve as a public notice that I do not consent to any in-progress or as of yet unconsidered content that includes contributions from me to be deployed to the live game; now or in the future.
Sincerely

Today is the only day you can retweet and share this !
Atem vs Yugi (Ceremonial Duel) aired for the first time 20 years ago on THIS day on Japanese TV😩
I really hope we can re-experience this beautiful finale in a proper duel monster remake one day 🤲🏻
RIP Kazuki Takahashi🤍
During the last 7 years, I've always put studios & people first. I have the privilege to have built many connections with people at Xbox and in particular their studios. To everyone affected by today's studio closures; I'm sorry. I'm deeply sorry. This is not the Xbox I, as a fan, want to see. I don't recognize this new Xbox myself these days. Between Microsoft's failed promise to give you safety to nebulous & inconsistent plans about Microsofts vision of the future of gaming not even the employees in these studios understand; the acquisition of ABK seems to have changed things at Microsoft Gaming, clearly for the worse.
I hope everyone affected today finds new opportunities fast. Chance exists we've talked before. If I can somehow help, don't hesitate to reach out to me.
Leadership failed you. This is not the Xbox we, the fans, envision.
